    The premiere of the work『Baroque Grid Ⅲa』

    It has been decided to hold the second performance of "Chamber Music from Classical to Modern", which was well received last year!

    This year, it will be held in two cities, Okayama City and Yamaguchi City. There is also a premiere of his own work "Baroque Grid IIIa".

    Teruaki Tokuda

    Composer/ Performer

    It is active mainly in western Japan. Influenced by traditional Japanese architectural structures and construction methods, he composed on the theme of dismantling the acoustic volume in Western music works and the transparency of sound. In addition to producing works, in recent years, he has also carried out educational activities closely related to the community. Part-time lecturer (composer) at the Faculty of Education, Shimane University. Member of the Japan Contemporary Music Association.

    Activities

    2026: Presented a work at the “94th Japan Music Competition Laureates Concert” (organized by The Mainichi Newspapers).
    2026: Held the exhibition-concert “Teruaki Tokuda: Voice Works Exhibition” (co-organized by the Renaiss Classic Executive Committee).
    2025: Premiere of Baroque Grid IV (Tokyo, Japan).
    2025: Premiere of Baroque Grid II (Okayama, Japan).
    2025: Appeared in and presented works at the “Concert of the Infinite Classroom without Walls in Hiroshima.”
    2025: Music supervision for the TV commercial “Shiso Hijiki Furikake by Kaorime Honpo” (broadcast throughout the San’in region).
    2025: Premiere of Land of Kazekusa (Okayama, Japan).
    2024: Participated in the Composition Seminar at the Takefu International Music Festival (scholarship recipient).
    2024: Held the “Teruaki Tokuda × Moeto Fujiwara Duo Concert.”
    2023: Orchestral arrangement of the Kurashiki Municipal Funao Elementary School Song (performed at the 150th anniversary ceremony).
    2023: Music supervision for the TV commercial “Shimane Full of Smiles” (broadcast throughout the San’in region).
    2023: Premiere of Takeami (Strasbourg, France).
    2022: Held the solo exhibition “Okayama Composers’ Works Exhibition – Focusing on the Works of Teruaki Tokuda” (co-hosted as part of the 60th Okayama City Arts Festival).
    2022: Appeared on FM radio program “Radio MOMO – The Renaissance Classic: Dreams to the World.”
    2022: Participated in the Composition Seminar at the Takefu International Music Festival (scholarship recipient).
    2022: Participated in the opening performance session “The Creative Body” at CRE・Lab. FORUM 2022 (Kuri-Lab Forum 2022).
    2021: Presented a work at “Kuniyoshi Festival 2021 Online Studies” (Kuniyoshi Yasuo Memorial Program for Art Education and Regional Revitalization).
    2021: Music supervision for the TV commercial “Your Hometown Shimane” (broadcast throughout the San’in region).
    2020: Orchestral work Sugashiki Kaze, commemorating the 70th anniversary of Shimane University.

    2025: Finalist, The Sound Ensemble Composition Competition (20 works selected from 147 entries)

    2024: Gold Prize, Global Young Musicians Competition
